In NSW, the owner of a building requiring an Annual Fire Safety Statement must arrange for each applicable essential fire safety measure to be assessed by an appropriately Accredited Practitioner (Fire Safety). The assessment must confirm that the measures perform to the standard listed on the building's Fire Safety Schedule. The owner must then issue the AFSS using the approved form, submit it to the local council and Fire and Rescue NSW, and display a copy within the building. A new statement is generally required every 12 months.

FPAS-accredited Fire Safety Assessor
Nicholas is an FPAS-accredited Fire Safety Assessor, licensed NSW builder and experienced Facilities and Operations Manager. He brings a wealth of experience with more than 15 years of hands-on facilities-management experience, including over a decade specialising in fire protection and electrical test and tag services.
Working with Liberty Test & Tag, Nicholas conducts applicable AFSS assessments and completes the accredited practitioner declarations, while Liberty provides the fire-equipment servicing and compliance reporting within our qualified scope.
Accreditation is independently verifiable on the FPAA public register.
Liberty can inspect and service applicable portable fire extinguishers, fire blankets, fire hose reels and fire doors, with individual records and compliance reporting for each item.
Routine servicing is not, by itself, an AFSS assessment. The accredited assessment and practitioner declarations are completed separately by Nicholas.
