Construction Test & Tag for active sites under AS/NZS 3012, with 3-month testing, clear records and audit-ready reporting.
Get a Compliance QuoteOn construction sites, electrical compliance isn't optional. Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW) and Work Health and Safety Regulation 2025 (NSW), together with AS/NZS 3012, all portable electrical equipment must be regularly inspected, tested and recorded. If equipment is untested, unsafe, or records cannot be produced, SafeWork NSW can issue notices, stop work, or remove equipment from service. In practice, this can delay projects, disrupt trades, and expose contractors to significant penalties. Compliance isn't about the tags — it's about being able to prove your site is safe at any time.
We've worked with some of the largest construction companies in Australia engaged in building million-dollar NSW infrastructure projects.
SafeWork NSW: Electrical Practices on Construction & Demolition Sites (Fact Sheet)
Construction sites are harsh environments requiring quarterly testing. We follow the industry-standard seasonal color coding system — Red, Green, Blue, Yellow — so site managers always know which cycle their equipment is in.
Color coding: Red (Dec–Feb) · Green (Mar–May) · Blue (Jun–Aug) · Yellow (Sep–Nov)

Under AS/NZS 3012, construction sites require 3-month testing cycles due to the harsh environment and high equipment movement. All portable equipment — tools, leads, and RCDs — must be tested and tagged before first use on site and re-tested every quarter.
AS/NZS 3012 covers construction and demolition sites with mandatory 3-month testing cycles and specific requirements for harsh environments. Standard office testing (AS/NZS 3760) typically allows 12-month intervals for fixed equipment. Construction sites face higher wear, dust, moisture, and physical damage — hence the stricter cycle.
Failed items are tagged out of service immediately and recorded in our digital compliance reports. We provide a detailed report noting the fault, and the item must be repaired or replaced before returning to service. We can advise on next steps if needed.
